Does every photograph require a title? Somehow I feel obliged to always include one. Often, I’ll not post an image for days, simply because I haven’t been able to apply the “correct” label to it.
/
An image title in this sense is simply a representation of emotions; or thought processes that have been invoked within myself at some point while creating the image.
/
By applying my own title, perhaps what I’m doing is influencing, or even negating emotions and thought processes which could have been invoked within you upon viewing my photographs.
/
Surely, we all don’t share congruent interpretations of language. If my work affected us both at the same deep level, does that conclude in us both referring to that shared experience with the same symbolistic representation? Seems highly implausible to me.
/
Perhaps I should let go of the reigns more often, and let you do your own narrative.
